What in the world????

Well, we are going to try to get back into blogging. And hopefully we can remember some of what happened in the last couple of months. May is a time of babies, and this year Coonie had her third successful brood of 4. As you can see, all that cat food went right to mama's milk supply.
One day Caleb was walking down the road and found a soaking wet, almost dead baby chipmunk. We suspect that a crow or other bird caught it and was taking it home over the bay and it fell in. Caleb scooped it up and brought it home. We really had not much hope that it would survive, but in a day or two, little Chippy was quite perky. He had a suite of rooms in our deluxe rabbit hutch and seemed very content. But after a couple of weeks, we began to feel bad, so Thomas made a fun log bridge (in the photo) from the open door of the rabbit hutch to our fort. Chippy loved it immediately and had his freedom.

Sweet Mama Coonie

Coonie was raised in our house, with cats. The
other night she came by and a feral cat showed
up too. I figured there would be a fight, but
sweet Coonie just let this unknown cat eat right
along side her.

A few minutes later all 4 of Coonies babies came
galloping up and chased the cat away. The kitty
stayed about 4 feet away growling about his
misfortune.

LEGO Convention Oct. 2008 in Seattle

Everything under the sun was there!

This boat was amazing, from the motor to all
the details on the dashboard.

There were many intricate towns with working
trains, to every kind of detail imaginable. Even
a baseball game in progress with action! The crowd
stood up with each hit of the ball!

This 20 foot Titanic was for sale. $45,000!

September's End-Part 2

I couldn't resist taking these photos of the boy
and his dog kayaking.

It is sort of a tight fit and can be
tippy when the dog sees a fish and wants
to get out!

September's End

These happy little flowers are on my
front porch, reaching for every bit
of remaining warmth from the sun.

These last days of September are gorgeous.
Maybe we can squeeze out one more day of
fun in the sun. The water is colder, but the
boat didn't mind.

We could hardly believe that Caleb wanted to
go tubing. The deal was, "OK, but don't fall off!"

Sentry is an avid boater, but whined for some
reason today. Did he know how cold the
water was?

The shot I missed was the enormous seal
who watched Caleb. Another reason not to
fall in! Good Bye September.

When in Rome......

Yep, she did it!
